Remonter

 

Overlooking the Loire River, and lined on the North-East by the Forest of Orleans, Chécy is a pleasant little town of 7500 inhabitants, located 10 km up-river from Orleans.

Our Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture can be found right in the middle of the town, between the Ecole de Musique (Music School) and the Musée de la Tonnellerie (Barrel and Cooperage Museum).

To reach Chécy:

  • By car : Follow the main road Orléans/Montargis - Turn to Chécy. (follow directions) at Chécy, parking Place Jeanne d'Arc, in front of the Church;

  • By bus - From Orleans Line 21 to Mardié, stop at Herpinière

  • By Tram or Bus wire-directed - Not available yet - Works still in progress.

  • By rail - Fleury-les-Aubrais Rail station - Then Bus or Tram.

  • By Air - St Denis de l'Hôtel airport - Then Taxi.

Opening Hours/Activities :

The M.J.C. is open - the afternoons only - as follows.

  • On Mondays - Framing and cardboard workshop.

  • On Tuesdays and Thursdays - Billiards.

  • On Tuesday - Patchwork

  • On Wednesdays (as from 3 pm) and Saturdays - Chess.

  • and some Fridays ( app. 8.30 pm) - Chess for Adults.

Registration fee to the M.J.C. : Children  14 €uros & Adults 20 €uros

To be added : part of expenses-sharing regarding each workshop.
